The new Tarot Handbook by Rachel Pollack

I bought this book from Amazon a month ago, and just recently finished.

Well, we know who Rachel Pollack is. She wrote a modern classic: 78 degrees of wisdom, one of the best books on Tarot I ever read. A book with a powerful writing: history, psychology, inner knowledge ... I think the New Tarot Handbook like an update.

The New Tarot handbook is a book for begginners (based on Rider Waite deck) That's it. And my dissappointed: a normal book. Unfortunately, I can recomend more books, but not TNTH. I guess Mrs. Pollacks want to keep on track. Only a few "updates" (e.g. 7 of swords, the card of forbidden affairs). Maybe I am unfair with the book: for each arcana, only two or three pages are dedicated. Not the amount of pages on 78DoW.

A novelty: on each major arcana and for each suit, Pollack includes a spread; from my point of view: lack of deep. I do not see it as a entire life work. Also, at the beggining of the book, a lovely story and a little hommage to the pionner on Tarot.

However, this is the first time on my entire life I read all along the minor arcana. So, I want to say Thank you to Rachel Pollack.
